AGM

Next season marks the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the club; a very special event is planned for 31st October at the Galtres Centre when Paul Barriff will present 50 Years behind the lens. He was there with his camera recording the 60’s music scene including the Beatles and by chance working with a fire team in New York on 9/11! The AGM on Monday concluded with great anticipation of this very special way to mark 50 years of the club and to be able to share this special occasion with members of the local community.

The club’s annual dinner and prize giving was held on Saturday at the Golden Fleece in Thirsk. Richard Egan FRPS DPAGB was the guest judge and, as always, amused everyone with his quick wit. He was there to select the overall winning shot from the four set subject titles. As a result Peter Rushton won the Scriven Shield with his image called Del Boy.

The following images came first in their respective categories:

1 President's Trophy: Iceberg Detail – Keith Schubert

2 Basil Sheard Memorial Trophy (Print, portrait): Rug Salesman - Keith Schubert

3 Towler Trophy: (monochrome print) Dunstanburgh Castle

4 Taff's Trophy (landscape digital image) Ingleborough - David Warner
